🔥 Burn the Excuses
"When you truly want something, you will find a way. Otherwise, you will find an excuse."
What have your excuses been?
Here are some of the most common ones I hear.
1. "I Don't Have Time."
Really?
Are you busier than everyone else?
What exactly are you doing with your time?
Do you genuinely believe you don't have time, or is it simply an excuse?
Every successful person has the same 24 hours that you do. Many have achieved far more with the very same amount of time.
"It is not important how much you do, but whether what you do is important."
Stop complaining about a lack of time.
Focus on your priorities, and you will find time.
2. Fear of Losing
Was the fear real, or was it only in your imagination?
Even if the fear was real, could you still have moved forward?
Do you know someone in a similar situation who chose courage over comfort?
Perhaps the real issue isn't fear.
Perhaps you don't want to leave your comfort zone.
Perhaps you don't want to adapt.
Perhaps you don't want to put in the necessary effort.
Or perhaps you don't want to take complete responsibility for your life.
Find the real reason—and move forward.
3. Waiting for a Better Option
You waited for a better opportunity.
Then another.
Then an even better one.
Before you realised it, the year was over.
And you're still waiting.
Ask yourself:
Are the opportunities not good enough?
Or have you not yet become good enough to recognise and seize them?
At some point, you must stop waiting and start choosing.
4. Worrying About Other People's Opinions
You were worried about what "others" would think.
But who are these "others"?
How important are they?
Will they stand beside you during your toughest moments?
Will they help you achieve your dreams?
This is your life.
You only get one chance to live it.
Live your dreams—not someone else's expectations.
Did you know that the father of the Wright brothers believed that attempting to build a flying machine was against God's will?
Imagine if they had listened.
What are you waiting for?
5. Past Failures
This is perhaps the biggest excuse of all.
When did you ever master something on your very first attempt?
Learning takes time.
Some children begin walking at 10 months.
Others at 17 months.
Today, they all walk equally well.
No one asks how long it took.
People only see that they learned.
The same applies to success.
Failure only becomes permanent when you stop trying.
Otherwise, you are simply learning.
I remember my student, Sumanth.
He did not clear the CAT examination three times.
Most people would have quit.
He didn't.
In his fourth attempt, he earned an interview call from IIM Indore.
Today, he jokes:
"That is why I am the best CAT mentor for anyone. I have studied this exam more deeply than most people."
His journey inspires everyone who knows him.
If you were in his position, would you have continued—or given up?
6. The Voice Inside Your Head
There is another person living inside each one of us.
That person is the negative voice.
It constantly tells you:
- "You are not good enough."
- "People will laugh at you."
- "You failed before."
- "Don't even try."
This voice creates fear.
It magnifies doubts.
It makes opportunities look dangerous.
It convinces you to quit before you even begin.
The difference between strong and weak people is not the absence of this voice.
Everyone has it.
Strong people hear it—and ignore it.
Weak people hear it—and obey it.
If you truly want to live life to its fullest, learn to master this voice.
Surround yourself with people who genuinely believe in you.
It makes all the difference.
🔥 Burn the Excuses
Perhaps your excuse is one of the above.
Perhaps it is something completely different.
Whatever it is, try this simple exercise.
Write your biggest excuse on a piece of paper.
Burn it.
Then move forward with complete faith in yourself.
Decide that this year will be different.
Decide that this year you will do something extraordinary.
May 2026 become the best year of your life.
May you achieve more in 2026 than you did in the previous ten years combined.
I am simply trying to live by the belief from the movie Field of Dreams:
"If you build it, they will come."
Keep building.
Keep believing.
Keep moving forward.
The world eventually notices those who refuse to give up.
